4.4 Edit GPS Data

GPS data can be edited on the map directly or by the GPS editor which comes up by selecting [Edit] - [Edit GPS].


 

(1) Edit on the Map

To edit at the specific place click the right mouse button pointing to the place on the map.
 

(a) Waypoint

(New)
Select [New Waypoint] to create a new waypoint

(Edit)
Waypoints data can be converted into place name data, track data, and route data by [Point] menu.
When they are converted into track data or route data a new entry (new) will be created.
Data can be transferred through the internal buffer using [Cut], [Copy], and [Paste] in the menu. For example if you select [Copy] and [Paste] on another point of the route data a new point will be added just in front of the selected point.

Check box [Section (on Road)] on the Waypoint Property dialog is valid only for a waypoint on a route but not for a single waypoint.
The waypoint with the check box option [Section (on Road)] will be an object for uploading to GPS.
This is used for a case such that you want to setup  route of hiking in detail  but only your goal point should be uploaded to GPS.

(b) Route Data, Track Data

(New)
Select [New Route] to create a new route.
Click left mouse button along the route to be created. You can undo the last point by a right mouse button click. After all points have been specified click right mouse button and and select [Fix].
You can snap the point to the place name or other waypoint during the input when you put the mouse pointer near these points.

(Edit)
You can specify one point to be edited by the [Point] menu.
By [Route] menu or [Track] menu whole the route or the track can be edited.

Every data can be converted into waypoint, track, route, and place name data. Track and route can be also converted into movie. These data are used to specify a trace of the movie camera.

Data can be transferred through the internal buffer using [Cut], [Copy], and [Paste] in the menu. For example if you select [Copy] and [Paste] on another point of the route data a new point will be added just in front of the selected point.

(Point)
Select [New Waypoint] from the right mouse button menu on the map pushing [Ctr] key to put the way point on to the nearest peek. It is useful for setting a waypoint at the peak.
Also use [Ctrl] key for the new route to adjust on the nearest peek..

(Road)
Select [New Road] from the right mouse button menu on the map. Pushing [Shift] key to set the way point as an object for uploading to GPS. To change the object afterwards, change the status of the check box [Section (on Road)].

(2) Editing by GPS Editor

An exploler-like editor comes up by selecting [Edit] - [Edit GPS].
Let this editor run normally.

Contents of a selected data from the tree in the right window are displayed in the left window like the explorer.
Copy and paste can be done with the mouse drag. The operation is identical to that of the Win95 explorer.
It is of course possible to select (multi selection is possible) object and to operate from the menu.

(2) Editing Track Data

To edit the points organizing track data can be edited by the track data editor dialog.
To open the dialog:

On the track data edit dialog, sequence of the points can be changed by cu and paste. Multiple selection is also possible.
Partial section chart for the selected points is also possible.
