11.10.2 Detail of Scenery / Sky

About setups for color of the sky, fog and mist are described.

Color of the sky depends on the angle of the sun. Especially when the angle is so small that the sun is almost at horizon this effect is very large. It is therefore recommended that the color of the sky should be considered with angle to the sun.

Sunset color is automatically generated by setting the angle to the sun around 0 degree.

(1) Sky

specifies color of the sky and the cloud.

- Color

specifies the deepest color of the part of the sky which is the opposite side of the sun.

- Scattering Color (Clouds)

specifies the color of scattering color by the air. Basically the color of the clouds is used.

- Air Depth

When the depth of the air increases the color of the sky becomes thinner. This makes the area with color of near the horizon larger. This may be used for the misty sky in the afternoon.

- Air Turbidity

When the turbidity of the air increases the color of the sky becomes white.

(2) Fog

makes whole landscape foggy.

- Color

specifies color of the fog. When the color is not white an unexpected effect could be obtained.

- Depth

specifies the distance which can not be seen any more by the fog. The nearer the distance the deeper the fog.

- Curve

specifies gradation curve of the fog depth. When the setup is rather [Sharp] there will be almost no fog in the near and it becomes deeper suddenly near the depth distance.  When the setup is rather [gentle] the gradation is flat from the near.

(3) Haze

Mountains far from the viewpoint look blue by haze. This effect can be set up. It is also possible to make the sky misty with different colors.
The haze makes everything misty except for the sky while the fog make also the sky misty. The haze is more complex than the fog.

- Depth

specifies the distance which can not be seen any more by the mist. The nearer the distance the deeper the mist.

- Curve

specifies gradation curve of the mist depth. When the setup is rather [Sharp] there will be almost no mist in the near and it becomes deeper suddenly near the depth distance.  When the setup is rather [gentle] the gradation is flat from the near.

(4) Reset

reset all setting to default.
